                          Autumn       

As Autumn paints the scene

Nature remains serene

Let’s walk along the river

Soaking up beauty for ever

Between stunning mountains

Deep hues of dew-drenched ferns

Sunlight slashes through the leaves

Such a scenery soothes and relieves

In golden yellow, red, woods glow

On the rocks mosses grow

Highlighted by a glinting waterfall

Amazing serenity to the hearts of all

On the winding stony path, quietness

Color harmony, light and shade thrill

The sun casts its soft rays on the hill

Feelings of joy and calmness

In the forest full of sounds, scents, smells

Chirping birds, scampering squirrels

Among oaks, hornbeams, aspens

A rainbow of lights glistens

Reaching white tipped snowy peaks

Passing over streams or creeks

Criss-crossing of sun and clouds

Casting shadows or bright hues

Away from the daily bustle

Wind whispers, leaves rustle

Amidst magnificent scenery

What better place to be !
