Pour marquer une pause dans le flot continu des nouvelles inqui\u00e9tantes qui envahissent nos \u00e9crans, je vous propose d’aller visiter le site de l’Alliance Grenoble-Oxford www.grenoble-oxford.org<\/a>.
A l’approche du Printemps, une saison qui met particuli\u00e8rement en valeur notre ville jumelle, retrouvez la conf\u00e9rence si bien illustr\u00e9e par David Bailey, sur les carnavals, avec un focus sur celui de Venise et sur les r\u00e9alisations “\u00e9bouripoustouflantes” des Ineffables. La cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 de cette association atteint des sommets pour imaginer et r\u00e9aliser des costumes qui font l’admiration de tous lorsqu’ils d\u00e9ambulent dans les rues de Venise.
Les vingt ans de jumelage entre l’East Oxford Community Choir et l’Ensemble Vocal Interlude ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en image par Sarah Wescott qui a con\u00e7u une vid\u00e9o retra\u00e7ant les temps forts et l’ampleur du programme des \u0153uvres donn\u00e9es au fil de ces vingt ann\u00e9es de concerts partag\u00e9s \u00e0 Grenoble et \u00e0 Oxford. L’oratorio Paulus de Mendelsohn reste un moment particuli\u00e8rement marquant donn\u00e9 dans la salle prestigieuse du Sheldonian \u00e0 l’occasion du 10e anniversaire du jumelage entre ces deux ch\u0153urs.
Seul le Covid a eu raison des projets de 2020 ; il a emp\u00each\u00e9 les deux ch\u0153urs de chanter ensemble les Saisons de Joseph Haydn \u00e0 Oxford et \u00e0 Grenoble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un acteur relativement discret du 30e anniversaire du jumelage est pr\u00e9sent sur notre site : il s’agit du Crabapple tree, un petit pommier, plant\u00e9 le vendredi 10 mai 2019 \u00e0 midi,le m\u00eame jour \u00e0 la m\u00eame heure dans deux jardins partag\u00e9s l’un \u00e0 Grenoble, l’autre \u00e0 Oxford et nous en surveillons attentivement la croissance respective.
Deux autres arbres ont aussi leur destin li\u00e9 au 30e anniversaire. Baptis\u00e9s Walter et Wally, ce sont deux noyers qui ont quitt\u00e9 Grenoble le 19 Mai 2019 et ont pris racine \u00e0 l’arboretum et au Jardin Botanique d’Oxford, qui a f\u00eat\u00e9 en pleine pand\u00e9mie son 400e anniversaire. La pose d’une plaque au pied de ces noyers est pr\u00e9vue le 16 juillet prochain et devrait \u00eatre accompagn\u00e9e d’un programme sur le th\u00e8me de la noix (d\u00e9monstration culinaire, intronisations, pr\u00e9sentation des bienfaits de la Noix pour la sant\u00e9…). La Confr\u00e9rie de la Noix a eu l’occasion d’introniser quelques personnalit\u00e9s britanniques et grenobloises le 18 Mai 2019 \u00e0 l’occasion de l’inauguration de la station de tram qui porte le nom d’Oxford, un nom r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 tout au long du trajet si vous vous dirigez vers le pont d’Oxford puisqu’il s’agit du terminus de la ligne. Il suffit donc d’un ticket de tram pour se rendre \u00e0 Oxford…
Pour progresser en anglais vous d\u00e9couvrirez sur notre site des textes \u00e9crits et lus par des anglophones que nous remercions pour leur contribution. Ils vous permettront d’am\u00e9liorer votre anglais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une derni\u00e8re nouveaut\u00e9 vous attend : vous pouvez constituer des bin\u00f4mes linguistiques avec des oxfordiens pour une dur\u00e9e de 40 minutes : 20 minutes de conversation en anglais suivies de 20 minutes de conversation en fran\u00e7ais. C’est une mani\u00e8re sympathique de progresser dans les deux langues.
Vous pourrez aussi vous joindre \u00e0 notre prochaine soir\u00e9e Fish&Chips dont la date n’est pas encore fix\u00e9e, puis le 19 mai participer \u00e0 une conf\u00e9rence sur les s\u00e9ries polici\u00e8res tourn\u00e9es \u00e0 Oxford (Inspector Morse, Lewis et Endeavour).
