Chers adh\u00e9rents et amis,
Au nom de l’Alliance Grenoble-Oxford je vous souhaite une ann\u00e9e o\u00f9 l’on pourra enfin cesser de parler de ce virus qui depuis tant de mois perturbe nos vies, au fil de ses mutations. On a le sentiment que l’alphabet grec n’y suffira pas…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notre programme est une victime collat\u00e9rale de la pand\u00e9mie : le pr\u00e9sentiel devient l’exception entre deux vagues de contamination.Nous avons d\u00fb annuler notre traditionnelle soir\u00e9e Christmas Carols mais nous l’avons remplac\u00e9e par deux fins de matin\u00e9es chantantes en plein air face \u00e0 la Halle Sainte Claire les 18 et 19 d\u00e9cembre, \u00e0 la demande de l’Union des commer\u00e7ants de la Halle. M\u00eame Rudolf le renne \u00e9tait de la partie ! Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 rejoints par des passants, des sympathisants, et un choeur de l’UIAD habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 chanter des chants de No\u00ebl en anglais au march\u00e9 du m\u00eame nom. La temp\u00e9rature n’\u00e9tait pas cl\u00e9mente et Chris le guitariste avait les doigts raidis par le froid, mais l’ambiance \u00e9tait chaleureuse. C’est l’esprit que nous avons toujours donn\u00e9 \u00e0 notre traditionnelle soir\u00e9e Christmas Carols (habituellement en salle) : un moment de partage o\u00f9 tout le monde peut se joindre au groupe et chanter. C’est cette ambiance conviviale que nous aimons et nous serons pr\u00eats \u00e0 renouveler l’exp\u00e9rience l’an prochain.
Pour maintenir nos liens avec Oxford et proposer diff\u00e9rentes formules pour progresser dans l’apprentissage de l’anglais nous avons notre site. Nous faisons aussi progresser les Oxfordiens dans l’apprentissage du Fran\u00e7ais. Rendez-vous sur le site www.grenoble-Oxford.org<\/a> pour en savoir plus.
La conf\u00e9rence de Caroline Berton\u00e8che sur ses \u00e9tudes de la litt\u00e9rature britannique men\u00e9es \u00e0 Oxford, accompagn\u00e9e de ses impressions sur la vie \u00e9tudiante devrait pouvoir se passer le 20 Janvier \u00e0 18h \u00e0 la Maison de l’International… mais on n’est pas \u00e0 l’abri d’un changement de derni\u00e8re minute.Le 1er Mars, Mardi Gras sur notre calendrier, une conf\u00e9rence sur le Carnaval de Venise pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par David Bailey en streaming avec Oxford et Padoue (ville jumelle d’Oxford) a \u00e9t\u00e9 programm\u00e9e. Il nous faut maintenant affiner la faisabilit\u00e9 technique afin de r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des \u00e9v\u00e8nements de ce type en partenariat avec notre ville jumelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalement c’est le covid qui nous incite \u00e0 rechercher d’autres mani\u00e8res de faire vivre le jumelage entre nos deux villes : “\u00e0 quelque chose malheur est bon” dit le dicton… Gardons nos capacit\u00e9s cr\u00e9atives et notre envie de renforcer les liens qui nous unissent. Et ce qui pourrait \u00eatre comme une bonne r\u00e9solution en ce d\u00e9but d’ann\u00e9e, pensez aussi \u00e0 adh\u00e9rer ou \u00e0 renouveler votre adh\u00e9sion pour soutenir notre association.
