28/02/2021 Visioconférence Zoom : Manifestation pro-européenne à Oxford
Dimanche 28/02/2021, 72 participants originaires d’Allemagne, Pologne, Roumanie, Irlande, Croatie, Italie et France ont répondu à l’appel de John Tanner, conseiller municipal d’Oxford en charge des relations internationales. Il s’agissait évidement d’une réunion à distance par visio Zoom. Sont intervenus notamment, Susan Brown leader of Oxford city council, Jochen Reeh-Schall district mayor of Bonn, Jakub Mazur député maire de Wroclaw Pologne, Francesca Benciolini Assessora comune di Padova et Mark Lygo maire d’Oxford. Il a été rappelé l’importance du maintien et de l’amplification des liens de coopération et d’amitiés entre les différents pays d’Europe, faisant partie ou non de l’Union Européenne. Sarah Westcott et Mel Houldershaw sont intervenues pour représenter le jumelage des deux associations AGO et OGA entre Oxford et Grenoble.
Nous avons pu entendre à cette occasion l’hymne européen, l’Ode à la joie de Beethoven et un extrait enregistré en Mai 2019 “A twinning triumph” chanté par les deux choeurs jumelés EOCC Oxford et Interlude Grenoble.
